Tea 3.0
Tea is following current trends in the food and beverage world, such as a drive toward health and wellness, a greater demand for transparency, and growth in specialty products. Tea is slated to take it to the next level by highlighting its functional benefits and incorporating ingredients like shelf-stable probiotics, vitamins, and caffeine extracts. This is spurred by consumers who want clean label, zero sugar, and functional ingredients, such as turmeric. The ultimate goal with this next wave of tea is to instill a sense a connection with it, while at the same time feeling a sense of betterment of oneself and the planet.
Going Green
Sustainability Sells
Earth Day wasn’t too long ago, so I think I’ll stay on this subject. Based on a survey conducted by Nielson Product Insider, 73% of global consumers say they would definitely or probably change their consumption habits to reduce their impact on the environment. In addition, 30% of global respondents say they are willing to pay a premium for products that deliver on social responsibility claims. As an extension to Aramark’s commitment to significantly reduce single-use disposable plastics across global food service operations by 2022, we are offering a new inventory of reusable beverage containers. Drink, rinse, repeat.
